Alcove Area

The Alcove Area is up behind the west side of The Grotto. Approach by scrambling to the south end of The Grotto and then taking a faint trail that cuts back up north to the mesa above the west side of The Grotto. The Alcove is visible just to the west. From The Alcove, a steep downclimb south through some rocks leads to the pit with the route "Walker-Wehner Direct."

Start just left of a wide crack with a big flake wedged inside it. Climb straight up the face to the anchors of Larconbe's Lament.
